My Ice Tea addiction & lists inside of lists

IT

I absolutely love iced tea and I am caressing my second huge refreshing beverage of the day as I write this.  I had to tell you that since I do not know what Turkish coffee is and I wanted to somehow relate to your elation.

You think I’m an expert list maker.  What makes one an expert at list making?  Practice?  If so, yes, I can rock a list anytime.  But what would make me an expert?  You are welcome for the idea.  List making is helpful.  And look what happened when you went for it – an entertaining blog post my friend!  More please!

So here is my response LIST to your LIST:

My studio has the smallest water heater.  Ever.  Seriously.  I have about ten minutes of hot shower time and then forget it.  The water grows cold quickly and all of the hairs grow back on my freshly shaved legs.  Here’s what I do about it:  I don’t do dishes before I get in the shower.  I turn on the bathroom space heater before I get in the water.  And, I plan my showers.  Am I going to wash my hair?  Shave?  All of the above?  If so, there’s no messing around in there.

And I hate doing my hair too.  Hate it.  Bet you didn’t know that.

Travel is awesome but whatever.  I too have the label Sagittarius.  We are outgoing, outspoken and travelers of the world.  Eh.  The first two are a huge yes.  The last not as much.  There are places that I want to visit and things that I want to see, but that travel bug, the need to move – not an ache for me.  But hey, if anyone wants to take me on vacation, I’ll be the outgoing girl with both of my arms up, “take me please!”  No doubt.

I have smart friends.  You have a verbal IQ of 135?  Ballz.  I have rad friends.  Scientists.  Entrepreneurs.  Medical Professionals.  Business Owners.  IT specialists.  Artists:  writers, painters, crafties, musicians, dancers.  Mothers.  Fathers.  Teachers.  I am so blessed to have my family and an outstanding support system.

I am grateful and my heart is swollen open.

Things I miss about “back home”:  “Abz.”  Friday uniforms.  Tiny’s.  Nike Base.  1980-something Mustangs.  Charmaine’s Flower Shop.  Working at Clothestime.  Ditching class at COC.  Filling my gas tank for under $10.  Steffanie’s Bug.  Jenn’s truck and Oingo Boingo at lunch.  Big hair.  Chi Chi’s pizza.  Jay.  My lifeguard tank top.  Banana Clips.  Trips to Vegas with my cousins.  My little brothers still little.  7-11 junk food stops with the girls.  Sitting in the back of the bus on the way to football games.  Girl talk.  Home games.  Drill Team practice.  Meira.  Cathy.  Dan.  Safe Rides.  Being 17.

I miss 17.

But you knew that.

“I miss boyfriends with motorcycles…” and sometimes riding on the back of them.  I get that.  But I’ve done that.  I want new exciting experiences.

Things I love right now (as in this hour):

Yoga.

Burger Lounge Turkey Burgers.

Iced Tea.

Lists.

San Diego.

Being DLC.

My blog.

Watching the sun set.  It amazes me every time I get the chance to witness one.  I sit or stand to watch as long as my schedule allows.

Hand holding.

I love being Auntie Abbie.

I love my studio and my new bed.

Books and reading in bed.

My new students.

Reworking my vision board.  I love that the things I put up on it come true.

I love my friends.  I really do.

And I love you.

Thank you for sharing your list(s) with me.

Abz

My friend Abbie is like no one else I have ever met in my life. A true “grab life with both hands and shoot for the stars” kind of person/woman that I truly believe only a SoCal woman is capable of being. She is really positive. I think that rocks.
